GLW Engineering Design has access to the very latest techniques, producing models of the project to minimise errors and deliver on time.
Using the latest software releases of Autodesk Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP and AutoCAD we can create a parametrically-constrained building model which will be the first point of reference for a project. This model can be used to provide a project database for the compilation and retrieval of data concerning every aspect of the build.
Buildings can be created with full fabrication information embedded into parametric relationships within a coordinated multi-discipline model. This enables true integration of all the product information resulting in live updates to schedules, quantities and documentation for fabrication when rapid changes are made to the design.
Who is BIM for?
These models are not just for architects. Each element within the model represents actual products and equipment and therefore this information becomes more useful to designers, installers and cost consultants.
A fully designed BIM model of a project can be used to provide ‘clash’ management of equipment and services, as well as a 4D sequence model which can be used to implement, supervise and manage the project to completion. Once built, the live building can be managed using the BIM model, providing maintenance information and service dates as well as energy performance monitoring solutions.
